Here’s perhaps the most powerful secret:
A change in feeling is a change in destiny.
It’s Mary-Elizabeth. Meet a man who’s opened my eyes in the profoundest ways:
Neville Goddard.
Neville Goddard was a mystic who broke ranks with spiritual leaders of his time and even today. In his 1944 book, Feeling is the Secret, he teaches that the conscious mind generates ideas that impress on the subconscious, which powers them to life, for better or worse.
He continues:
“Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious. Therefore, the man who does not control his feeling may easily impress the subconscious with undesirable states.”
It’s like Jesus said, the meek—the not easily provoked—shall inherit the earth.
Or as Neville distills it:
A CHANGE IN FEELING IS A CHANGE IN DESTINY.
And that’s true on a personal, national or global level.
So don’t let anyone berate you for not feeling the “right” emotions, like I once allowed people to berate me for not feeling angry enough about race matters in America.
What we FEEL is true comes true.
Luckily, we can master the way we feel by mastering the way we think / stories we tell.
I feel that we feed what we fight. If you feel that prosperity grows from fighting what you don’t wish to see in the world, I’d say prepare for a destiny of combat.
It’s like Jesus said, those who live by the sword die by the sword.
Our task—which isn’t easy, I’ll admit—is to use what offends us to clarify what we prefer, and to do our best to “live in the feeling of the wish fulfilled,” as Neville would say, so that our subconscious accepts our desires as fact and steers us toward making them happen.
That isn’t ignoring or condoning injustices.
It’s not handing them our destinies on a platter.
